L.H Nguyen B.Sc., D.Pod.M., graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo and completed her post-graduate studies in Podiatric Medicine, from the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences. She is a registered Chiropodist/Foot Specialist with the College Of Chiropodist Of Ontario and a member of the Ontario Society Of Chiropodist. She practices the full scope of Chiropody and is highly trained in soft tissue surgery. She has practiced in Ottawa at the Ottawa General Hospital-Total Foot Care Clinic, where the focus was on limb salvage in high risk patients and provided foot care to uninsured demographic in Scarborough. She now practices at YORK FOOT HEALTH AND ORTHOTICS CLINIC in Hamilton and Cambridge locations, offering her expertise in foot complication, providing medical foot care and foot health advice to residents of Hamilton, Cambridge and neighbouring cities. Her passion for her profession and caring nature has allowed patients to feel at ease and assured patients of all ages that they are putting their feet in the right hands.
Chiropody, pronounced as “ker-o-pid-ee”, is the study of the foot and ankle. Chiropodists/Podiatrists are the ONLY regulated Foot Specialist educated exclusively in the assessment and treatment of foot and ankle disorders. Chiropodists assess and treat many related foot and ankle problems. Chiropodists are highly skilled and has gone through many years of schooling in order to prevent foot diseases and disorders through therapeutic, surgical, orthotic and palliative means. A Chiropodist is a regulated primary health care practitioner, therefore NO medical referral is necessary to see the Chiropodist.
